Childish Gambino - This Is America Music Video - Hidden Symbolism

Updated: Apr 21, 2021

So the Capitol in Washington DC has been invaded by Trump supporters. The whole thing gave me vibes from the Childish Gambino track - This is America. So here I am breaking down the "iconic" (sarcasm) music video down. You can check the video here side by side for all the references.

Video starts. A guy initially is sitting on a chair and playing guitar. The whole scene is in an empty warehouse. (This warehouse is basically like that of a big ass retail giant, like Walmart/Amazon etc, more on this later) The guy playing the guitar is a normal man who is happy playing music and making music (African Americans in America and their idea of hip hop when they started it. Happy relaxed etc.), then Glover starts dancing. Initially he is fine then all of a sudden look at his eyes, looks possessed and has crazy expressions. Lyrics say, "we just want to party, party just for you, "we just want the money (Meaning - greed for money of the society, greed of humans basically) money just for you" (money which goes back to the richest people the 1%ers of the society). Then Glover shoots the same guy who was playing the music, symbolising the death of creativity and originality and in turn death of real hip hop, with the head covered and hands cuffed it means that the death was a murder and not a natural death. Also look at the exact moment where he goes crazy whole dancing, one eye symbolism of the elite.

Daniel Glover's outfit at 2018 Met Gala. Same year as the release of the song.

First Image - All seeing eye in the masonic pyramid on the back of his suit.

Second Image - Satanic hand symbol, which makes the number 6 but with the middle finger, ring finger and the pinkie it is three 6's together as in '666' number of the beast. Same done by a certain famous Indian rapper too over the years.

Back to the song and its symbolism now.

So Glover shoots the guy, why? Cz he is part of the 1% which he has been shown (and later established by his Met Gala outfit) via all seeing eye symbolism. Then the gun is hidden with a towel - to wipe the finger prints and the body getting dragged away - to hide the evidence.

Then he sings, "guns in my area, I got a strap" - strap referring to the strap of a rifle, basically flexing that he has a big gun. In the background you can notice people are beating cars and other stuff but everyone is dancing, as if oblivious to it. This symbolises that they know what is happening but they are kinda okay with it, kinda saying it's okay let it be, since we are having fun it's fine whatever is happening to other people and society in general. Note how dancers are African descent people meaning African Americans have allowed this kinda society to be okay. But these people are dancing to/following whom? Glover. The same Glover who is a puppet and part of the 1%ers.

Then Glover shoots a church choir symbolising death of the church and it's values, but orchestrated by whom? The puppets of the cult, artists such as Glover himself and may others like him.

Notice how no one comes to clean the bodies of the choir, symbolising nobody cares about religion, whereas earlier in the video with the African American guy they did come to clean cz media upheaval and also cz they are slowly killing a race (A race which are lineage wise one of the strongest). Also note, gun goes into the hands with a towel again.

Then he says, "I am on Gucci, I am so pretty, I am gonna get it, watch me move" meaning he will get everything (cz he is one of the artists in the elite circle) and normal people will just see him (and act like sheep). Then he says, "this is a celly, that is a tool" camera goes to children with phones, it's a tool used by the cult to control them (look how all of them are not talking to each other and lost in their own world WHILE WEARING A MASK - subconcious programming again!) by throwing mindless information to them and then manipulating them against each other later.

Then he sings, "hunnid bands hunnid bands" (these are paper wraps on 100,000$ notes), then he sings, "contraband contraband, I got the plug on Oaxaca" (Mexican city which is the drug centre, plug meaning dealer), symbolising the cult controls the money and the drugs, in turn the drug money too. Then he sings, "They gonna find you like blocka" (gun shot sound), note every dancer disappears meaning they fear guns (the normal people fear guns)

At 2:36, look at the white horse passing by with a guy in a black hood with his face covered. Christian prophecy of 4 horseman. It's one of the horses. The 4 horseman is the end of time indication. The rider is basically like the devil, always hidden in plain sight within the shiniest of things and how it has conquered godly-ness (white horse is considered beautiful and godly),the scene and the video hence depicts the last days before the apocalypse as per Christian prophecy. Still people are dancing and enjoying oblivious, as the devil is here and is passing by.

Then a man is playing guitar with his face covered, symbolising someone else is making music now a days for these artists and we don't know them but we are enjoying cz the puppet (Glover) is portraying to enjoy it in order to influence us .

Last scene he is seen running away from a lot of normal people. Symbolising he is running away from America, running away meaning leaving America and it's normal people. Cz America is going down, cz the apocalypse is near. (figurative)

Also, another thing is the whole thing happens in the warehouse (which I mentioned in the beginning) which is a symbol of the future in FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) camps. How will they try to introduce emergency? Most probably by implementing martial law once diseases lead to food shortage and they'll say quarantine here and we'll give you ration or for people who disobey the law for example by not taking the vaccine or people who speak against the government etc.

I was a big fan of Glover during his 'Community' days but that is definitely gone all down the drain now. Anyway, hope you liked this audio-visual symbolic break down of the track.

Peace out.
